After reasearching Body Confidence for a short while, we came across a PDF containing information on a Body Confidence campaign the Government are conducting themselves. I found this particularly interesting as it suggested the facts and statistics used within the file would be much more reliable and trustworthy. I was looking for facts to implement into our Documentary, so this seemed to be the perfect discovery. It didn't teach me anything about documentaries but it gave me an insight into the scale of damage that body confidence is having, giving me more knowledge of the topic. It taught me that 90% of society disagree with the way bodies are represented through the media, which is one of the causes of body confidence. It also suggested to me that women suffer from body confidence issues much more than men, "our culture’s preoccupation with female beauty and feminine identity has a particular impact on women and young girls".
